Join us on Saturday June 7 for
We will be meeting at 11am at the Church and returning by 4pm. We will travel to Outlaw Paintball in Pflugerville for an afternoon of adventure and fun. Pack a sack lunch to eat while we are there as well as a water bottle. The cost is $20. You should wear tennis shoes and long pants. Thicker clothes that can protect a little better are ok to wear, but are not required. All clothes worn should be ruin-able.
My name is Clay Smallwood. I am the new intern working with the youth group this summer. I am very excited and looking forward to working with all of the youth in the church. I understand that many parents may be a bit apprehensive about allowing their youth to engage in this sport. I am writing this letter to let you know that though paintball is often perceived as a dangerous sport, in reality, there are a series of precautions to make it very safe. In years past, I have played paintball both recreationally with youth groups and on a highly competitive level. My experience has been nothing but positive and have never felt in danger in any way. The rules at paintball fields are very strict and put in place to keep all participants safe at all times.
We felt it was important to let all families know that we feel comfortable taking the youth to play paintball. It is a high energy game that is a lot of fun. Attached is the standard release participation form, a minor release participation form to be filled out if you are under the age of 15, and a TUMC medical release form to be filled out if you don’t already have one on file.
All applicable forms need to be filled out in order to participate.
